About Home-Start Kirklees

Home-Start Kirklees is a volunteer led organisation committed to the welfare of children and families. We offer emotional and practical support to local families in Kirklees with children from birth, right up to their first term of school. We recognise the ongoing challenges of raising children in a safe and nurturing environment coping with outside and internal pressures family life can bring: stresses of ill health both physical and mental, loneliness & isolation, disruptive relationships, insecure housing, financial worries, multiple birth of children under 5, trauma, abuse or loss.
