Thirsk Rugby Club is more than a place to play—it’s where players are shaped, teams are forged, and values come to life.

From first passes to final tries, we stand together as one club with a shared commitment to growth, inclusion, and opportunity. Whether it’s grassroots coaching for children, senior squads grinding it out in the mud, or volunteers lifting others behind the scenes—rugby at Thirsk is built on more than sport. It’s built on Teamwork, Resilience, Unity, Family, and Community. We believe rugby should be for everyone—no barriers, no limits. That’s why we run free school outreach sessions across the region, introducing hundreds of children to the game in a way that’s fun, friendly, and inclusive. Many join us from schools where opportunities are scarce, and discover skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging on the pitch. Our mission is clear: rugby should be accessible to all.
